S4D is a non-competitive marching sport event, on a self-sufficient basis.
The test consists of completing four consecutive days of march that will take place between June 7th and June 10th, 2022.
In order to facilitate the participation to a wider range of people of all ages and conditions, the optional routes will be 10, 20 or 40 kilometers per day.
All tours are adapted for people with some types of disabilities. In places where transit is not possible or convenient for people with physical or visual disabilities in wheelchairs, handbikes or strollers, carrying babies, alternative itineraries have been enabled that adjust to the general distance of each route.
At the time of registration, the distance to be covered will be selected, taking into account that the participant agrees to travel that distance throughout each of the days of the test or, at least, to carry out the four consecutive days of marching.
The uniformed personnel will carry out the test with the regulatory field uniformity of their unit, army, corps and country of origin, carrying the same regulatory backpack with 10 kilograms of revised weight, with an exemption for those over 55 years of age.
The uniformed personnel will maintain the rules of uniformity during the development of the test.
The place of departure for the four days of the event, for all types of march, will be the Palacio de Deportes de Santander and it will also be the place of arrival, except for the 40-kilometer marches on the third and fourth days.
The departure times for the different distances are as follows:
40-kilometer route: 6:00 am
20 kilometer route: 6:00 am
10-kilometer route: 8:00 am
